I’m Abby, a 6-year old Chow/Lab mix. I’m waiting for you to come see me! I can’t wait to take you on nice long walks, let you pet me and spend your evenings watching TV with me. I also won’t mind when you put me in my crate but I’d prefer if you weren’t gone for more than five hours a day. Do you have kids? I was in a foster home with my 5 babies, and I was much happier there. It was calm and quiet with lots of nice windows that would allow me to gaze at the birds. But, here I am back at the shelter. Wow, it’s a lot louder than that nice home. If you’d like to share your warm, quiet home with me, that would be fabulous. I’m Nena, a 9-year old pit bull terrier mix at Naperville Area Humane Society who’s looking for a patient heart who will show me the world is not a scary place. I’m a very shy girl who’s been known to get the shakes when I’m scared. I love people and just need a family that will take the time to teach me how to trust again. I hope my new family will have older kids, because the little ones intimidate me an awful lot. I like some other dogs and don’t mind most cats.
